- Respectful and Inclusive Behavior:

- Active Participation:
- Encourage members to actively participate in discussions.
- Ask open-ended questions and engage in thoughtful conversations about the book.
- Civility and Open-Mindedness:
- Promote civil discourse and open-mindedness. It's okay to disagree, but do so respectfully.
- Be open to exploring different perspectives and interpretations of the book.
- Stick to the Topic:
- Keep the discussion focused on the book being discussed. Avoid straying into unrelated topics or personal stories for extended periods.
- Listening and Taking Turns:
- Listen actively to others when they are speaking.
- Allow each member a chance to speak before someone else responds.
- Constructive Criticism:
- When offering criticism of a book, be constructive and provide specific examples to support your points.
- Reading Commitment:
- Make a commitment to read the selected book before the meeting.
- Time Management:
- Respect the agreed-upon meeting time and avoid going off-topic to ensure the meeting stays on schedule.
- Meetings will be 90 minutes
- No Spoilers:
- Avoid giving away key plot points or spoilers without warning for books that others have not yet read.
- Feedback:
- Provide constructive feedback to the group on how to improve the book club's activities and discussions.
- Confidentiality:
- Respect the privacy of members and the confidentiality of discussions within the book club
